Welcome
I am running for the Washington State Senate because of my concern for the future of our 27th District. Our District needs a dynamic and positive voice in the State Senate. I believe being elected to the Senate gives you a license and a responsibility to lead. Tacoma and Pierce County have yet to reach their potential. The availability of industrial land and commercial space will bring growth if our leadership is equal to the task of creating a progressive and alert community.
We, the citizens of the 27th District, need a new Senator with new ideas and a new determination to provide the leadership to vigorously represent our interests in Olympia.
We have reached a turning point in the development of our District. Opportunity is at the door and it is up to us to meet the challenges of the 21st century. I humbly ask for your help and your vote.

Ten Principles I Will Take Seriously As Your State Senator
- You will be the most important person to enter my office… in person, by mail or by telephone.
- It will be my job to give you the very best service you seek in such a way that mutual benefit and satisfaction result.
- You are not dependent on me… quite the contrary… I am dependent on you.
- You will not be an interruption of my work… you are the purpose of it.
- You are not outsiders in my work… you are the reason for it.
- You will never be treated as cold statistics… but flesh-and-blood human beings with feelings and emotions like my own.
- I will not argue or match wits with you… arguments are won only by avoiding them.
- Whether belligerent or irritating… humble or appealing… you always have a genuine right to receive courteous, polite and efficient service.
- You do me a favor by giving you an opportunity to serve you… I am not doing you a favor by serving you.
- You expect only what we ourselves expect from those who we have elected to serve others… Service… in a helpful, courteous manner.
